WHO WE ARE.

Me and my friends from across the district founded DC Students for Transparent Policing, a student-led initiative designed to foster dialogue and understanding about policing experiences among teenagers. Through collaborative Zoom sessions, members share their diverse interactions with law enforcement, creating a valuable dataset for researchers interested in studying youth perspectives on policing in the 2020s. While many founding members attend Edmund Burke High School in Washington, DC, our community has significantly expanded, now encompassing students from throughout the District and neighboring regions, including Rockville, Maryland, and McLean, Virginia.
